The Globe Bar and Restaurant is a hidden gem in the heart of Laugharne. Established in October 2024, it offers a carefully curated selection of wines and seasonal dishes, creating a relaxed and welcoming space that honours the building’s rich history.

The Globe House has served many purposes over the years — from a hotel and military billet to a horse and coach station, butcher’s shop, auction room, video hire outlet, abattoir and private residence. It was purchased by Burnham Gleed and remained a family butchery until Bobby Gleed’s retirement in 1991.

More recently, The Globe has gained recognition on screen, featuring in the BBC biopic Dylan in New York starring Tom Hollander, as well as the acclaimed BBC series Keeping Faith starring Eve Miles.
